LOCATION: Initial Placement- Wincey Mills, ParisMinimum Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary school education in Business Administration, Social Services, Community Development or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2 years related experience in the administration of a public transportation program
  • Strong working knowledge of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), Ontario Human Rights Code and all related legislation
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Microsoft Office and ability to synthesize analytical and statistical data
  • Exceptional customer service and time management skills
  • Strong facilitation and presentations skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and strong verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a high degree of professionalism with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated safe work practices
  • Valid Class G Driver's License with provision to own vehicle and acceptable Driver's Abstract
  • Valid police records check
Assets:
  • Experience in a municipal setting
  • Experience with community and partnership development
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies in public transportation delivery including micro-transit, e-hailing and accessible transportation
Duties:
  • Manage the County of Brant's Public Transportation Program which currently includes a micro-transit, ride-share program via a third-party service provider.
  • Provide day-to-day liaison with contract service providers.
  • Provide day-to-day support to members of the public who have service complaints and issues.
  • Collaborate with service providers to investigate and resolve complaints, receive public comments, and conduct and analyze satisfaction surveys on program delivery.
  • On a monthly basis, monitor, track, analyze and report the performance of the service providers and ridership data. Evaluate the data to ensure a high quality, compliant, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective service is maintained.
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement and implement action plans to address concerns.
  • Develop and monitor the public transportation program budget.
  • Maintain knowledge and expertise of public transit service provider options, business models and innovative public transportation service approaches.
  • In collaboration with the Communication and Marketing division, actively pursue communication and marketing strategies to increase awareness and engagement with the public transportation program.
  • Increase community awareness of the program by attending public forums, performing presentations, and participating in events.
  • Research, promote and develop public/private sector partnerships with respect to the ride-share program, funding opportunities, and economic and community development strategies.
  • Interpret and apply relevant legislation to ensure corporate-wide compliance
  • Ensure that all corporate-wide legislative requirements for AODA and Human Rights Code are met and maintained in relation to the transportation program
  • Assist with projects relating to community transportation initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned.

Wage Range: $40.03 - $46.83 (Job Grade 6 Under Review) 35 hours per week
