Principle Accountabilities

  • Owns the relative market - Sales, Costs, Earnings, etc.
  • Develops and leads effective plans and strategies to increase sales of our products through existing and new customer base, expanding the use of our supply strategy or developing alternative routes to market.
  • Interface with Customers, Sales and Marketing to fully understand product line performance drivers. Support Sales by making strategic end user calls to educate current and potential customers on key features and benefits of new products or existing products while learning about customer and market needs.
  • Drive the development and introduction of new products ensuring fitness for use in design, appropriate cost to meet the targeted price point, proper packaging and development of key features and benefits information for marketing and sales support.
  • Develop pricing strategies for product lines.
  • Drive cost reductions or improvement in design of existing products based on changing market needs and by optimizing the supply chain from ECP's manufacturing locations to the geographically diverse end users.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Five to ten years of demonstrated success in Product Management, Product Development, Sales or related experience, preferably in the Geosynthetic market.
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Science or Business.
  • Strong technical skills including:
    • P&L understanding
    • Knowledge of customers, markets and competitors
    • Knowledge of all aspects of branding, product line management, and product launches
  • A motivated self-starter with strong organizational, planning and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence others and work cross functionally.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office suite i.e. Excel, Word, Access.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting set deadlines.
  • Experience leading, managing change and problem solving.
  • Knowledge of textile processes and polymer science will be an asset.
  • Able to travel both within North America and internationally at least 25% of the time.
