Salary:

Avnan is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Analyst to join our Supply Chain department. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for ensuring on time delivery, inventory optimization, and customer satisfaction in order to achieve the corporate objectives.

The Supply Chain Analyst will work directly with customers, overseas and local manufacturers, to coordinate supply. Along with working on day-to-day supply chain planning activities, the Analyst will ensure that Avnan's customers are provided with the information they require to be successful.

Additionally, the Supply Chain Analyst will participate and drive supply chain solutions that will provide value to Avnan's customer's business.

Responsibilities:

Account & Relationship Management

  • Analyze forecasted flows, operational capacity, and stakeholder alignment to provide recommendations for new customers.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Customers, and Engineering to improve profitability and data accuracy for quoting.
  • Drive customer-focused cost reductions and improvements in customer satisfaction.
  • Manage customer-level costing and pricing to maintain target gross profit.
  • Maintain a productive relationship with suppliers working toward a healthy partnership

On-Time Delivery:

  • Take ownership of meeting on-time delivery and customer commit dates.
  • Address issues proactively and minimize disruptions.
  • Coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply/factories and logistics teams.
  • Log customer delays and analyze trends for root causes

Forecast and Inventory:

  • Interact with sales, customers, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Review historical sales trends, analyze product data, and prepare accurate forecasts.
  • Identify problematic areas and suggest improvements based on data analysis.
  • Optimize shipping modes and schedules to achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Review component and finished goods inventory levels, adjusting them to match current demand.
  • Develop inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.

System and Data Accuracy:

  • Create and maintain accuracy in finished goods purchase orders.
  • Ensure accuracy in quote and cost management processes.
  • Create and maintain accuracy in job-related activities, including verifying supplier invoices and inventory consumption.

Continuous Improvements:

  • Plan and execute supply chain optimization projects to reduce costs, improve performance, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on supply chain performance.
  • Continuously work towards improving KPIs and implementing best practices.

About You:

Our ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Material Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Forecasting, Planning, Purchasing, Inventory Control, or other Supply Chain roles.
  • CSCP, CPIM, CLTD, CSMA, CITT or P.Log completed or scheduled to be completed.
  • Proficiency in Supply Chain concepts, with APICS CPIM or equivalent certification being a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or equivalent methodologies.
  • Experience working in electronics manufacturing, EMS, ODM, or OEM is an asset.

Note: "This is a remote position with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid/in-office setup in the future. Candidates located within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) will be given preference. Please note that relocation costs will not be covered."

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and drive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Understanding SCM and ERP systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Excel).
  • Basic understanding of electronic components familiar with manufacturing.
