ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies and a meticulous attention to detail. As a QA Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing and analysis.

As a QA Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in our Agile development environment, working closely with both our team and BC Government clients to deliver functional and performant software solutions. Our QA Analysts create both manual and automated testing scenarios and proactively report on issues as well as recommended adjustments and solutions to enhance the overall quality of the software we deliver. You will enjoy working cross functionally in an Agile environment with the Vivid team and strategically with clients in navigating their specific requirements and delivering technology that appropriately meets their needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with software developers, product managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
  • Create and execute test plans, cases & scripts to thoroughly assess software functionality and performance and to ensure applications meet business requirements, system goals and fulfill end-user needs.
  • Create manual and automated testing scenarios to ensure compliance with coding standards and expected functionality.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools like Jira.
  • Participate in Agile or Scrum meetings, providing input on quality-related issues and status updates.
  • Collaborate with software and systems personnel in engineering and application testing, such as system, unit, regression, load and user acceptance testing methods.
  • Coordinate deployment of new development, improvements or corrections to ensure that quality, communication, documentation and training objectives are achieved.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in enterprise software projects across the organization.
  • Continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of software testing and QA experience, testing of both client/server, web-based and mobile applications.
  • Experience successfully implementing and supporting enterprise applications.
  • Experience testing cross-browser development applications (such as HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, Web Services, API testing, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge and experience with testing methodologies (e.g., regression, smoke, acceptance, load and accessibility testing).
  • Strong QA Automation Skills on industry standard commercial testing tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, JMeter, Postman).
  • Diligent in writing test cases and documentation supporting manual and automated tests.
  • Strong working knowledge of Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Knowledge of TDD and BDD.
  • Experience in Agile, Scrum, Continuous Integration and Delivery, Test-Driven Development and Application Lifecycle Management.
  • IT experience in public sector environments is a plus.
