Description:
Shanto Dental Ceramics, one of the largest and fastest-growing full-service labs in BC, is currently seeking an experienced, skilled, Digital Production Team Lead to work full-time in our dental lab. The Digital Department Team Lead will Provide leadership and oversee the efforts of the digital production team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality standards are met. Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards.

General Responsibilities:

  • Identify and mitigate bottlenecks in the department.
  • Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements.
  • Implement 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Ensure equipment is within calibration specifications and all systems are functioning correctly.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
  • Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required.
  • Understanding material usage/demand as well as outsourcing capacity and tracking
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Prepare and host the monthly review meetings.
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of production-related metrics as required by internal and corporate management.
  • Work closely with department supervisors on issues that affect production schedules.
  • Plan and prioritize production requirements using MRP software.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in dental technology.
  • Must possess proficient English skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must possess effective oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner.
  • Experience in operations and/or manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong IT skills.
