Partner Staffing is currently working with our client to find a Senior Estimator. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of construction methods, processes, and management practices; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be organized, efficient and responsive to the needs of internal and external alike.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and manage estimates required for sales, pre-construction, and bidding efforts
- Perform material and quantity takeoffs, sourcing material and subcontractor quotes
- Provide estimates, budget control and studies for projects and potential projects during business development, pre-construction, and construction phases of a project and across all scopes, systems, and assemblies
- Ability to complete full quantity take-offs to support accurate estimates for all disciplines, including commercial and mid-rise wood-frame multi-family construction projects together with below-grade parkade, but not limited to architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and landscaping disciplines
- Lead the sub-contractor procurement process
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience working in commercial and multi-family mid-rise wood-frame residential construction projects, including below-grade parkade
- Minimum 3 years estimating experience for commercial/residential construction in a fast-paced environment
- BS degree in civil engineering or construction management
- Proficiency in estimating software, Bluebeam, and MS Project
- Excellent knowledge of the Alberta Building Codes
- Have exceptional technical, communication skills, which enable you to manage projects with confidence and ease
