Our company is growing rapidly and is searching for experienced candidates for the position of Reach Truck Operator. To join our growing team, please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications.
This position is an early 1st shift working 5:00AM - 1:30PM Monday - Friday. Some Saturdays may be required based on business needs.
Please note, this is a cold storage facility where you will be working consistently in temperatures as low as -26 degrees Celsius/-15 degrees Fahrenheit.
Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Operate a High Reach Forklift to pick orders and stage for shipment following all proper dock and warehouse safety procedures
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others
- Follow instructions and directives from supervisor and/or trainer
- Perform all other duties required
- Substitute for other operators as needed
- Must achieve and maintain a current Reach Truck Operator's license
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have minimum 6 months of daily reach truck experience
- Push-Back/Roll-Back Racking experience highly preferred!
- Must have good attendance record and good work ethic
- Must have reliable transportation as Public Transit is not accessible for the hours required
- Ability to achieve appropriate certification
- Comfortable working in cold temperatures while wearing personal protective equipment and freezer gear (from 40 to -15 degrees)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs/23 kg
