Vertex Resource Group Ltd. is currently hiring project based Vessel Entries to support our spring-to-fall projects that are coming up. We are looking for motivated, dedicated and skilled individuals with industry experience. You must have a valid Class 5 license and are willing to travel and drive company vehicles to various locations.

The Vessel Entry-Tank Cleaning position has accountability for following required procedures, safe work plans and practices to perform cleaning of confined spaces in industrial applications. This position requires workers to wear specialized personal protective equipment, use various hand tools, shovels, pressure wash wands, vacuum hoses and other equipment.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Work in confined space for shifts of up to 2 hours
  
• Stand, sit, crouch, and kneel for extended periods of time
  
• Participate in the installation and removal of energy isolation devices, blanks, blinds, etc.
  
• Rig in / rig out ventilation, wash and vacuum equipment
  
• Follow directions accurately
  
• Accurate reporting of conditions in the confined space
  
• Assist confined space entry personnel in donning and doffing required PPE when entering and exiting confined space when not in confined space
  
• Perform assigned emergency response roles including confined space rescue
  
• Actively participate in safety meetings, tool box meetings, permit and hazard assessment reviews
  
• Prepare hazard assessments as appropriate
  
• Maintain composure during high-stress and multi-tasking challenges
  
• Support cleaning of respiratory protective equipment
  
• Complete required inspection records for PPE and equipment
  
• Complete required inventory of trailers daily and at end of the project
  
• Support outside of space operations, maintaining support equipment in berm/work area as directed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class 5 drivers licence
• Previous experience in confined space and industrial cleaning operations an asset
  
• Physically and mentally fit
  
• Able to lift and carry up to 45 Kg
