Position Summary:

The Director, Assistant Controller is a senior leader within the Finance organization that will lead the monthly accounting close cycle and related activities, have oversight over billing operations, execute the company's strategy for financial systems and process improvements, and manage a team of leaders and individual contributors across multiple accounting functions. This individual must have a strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and demonstrated experience with implementation of various accounting and financial systems and process improvements.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Lead and manage a team of accountants, billing operation specialists, accounts payable and receivable accountants and promote teamwork, collaboration, and continual process improvements; recruit, train and retain high performing accounting professionals
  • Be a strategic leader and design and drive process improvements, implement scalable solutions and financial systems, as well as participate in developing and maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring quality controls over all transactions and reporting
  • Be responsible for monthly/quarterly/annual close process and reconciliations, including developing and maintaining allocation models and schedules for intercompany charges and activities, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy and completeness of financials, compliance with U.S. GAAP, and timeliness
  • Oversee monthly/quarterly/annual U.S. GAAP and management reporting packages on a consolidated, legal entity and business unit basis, including performing variance analysis and reconciliations of GAAP financials to management reporting
  • Prepare and maintain tax basis financial statements and statutory ledgers for wholly owned subsidiaries, and oversee the execution of policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws including supporting tax filings and compliance
  • Support merger and acquisition activities including accounting for business combinations and integration of business processes and systems
  • Own audits, including the preparation and review of supporting reports and documentation, and directly interact with external auditors to ensure resolution of any issues and timely completion of the audit
  • Drive the implementation of new accounting pronouncements, technical accounting research activities as well as other ad-hoc projects
Position Requirements:
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 5+ years management experience
  • CPA license with Public Accounting experience
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of accounting transaction flows and U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, purchase accounting, equity compensation, consolidations, and software development capitalization
  • Experience working for a tech company is preferred
  • Public accounting experience at one of the Big 4 firms is a plus
  • Experience with Sales Force and Rev Cloud – strong plus
  • Experience within a public company environment is preferred

In an effort to provide greater transparency, we are sharing the base salary range for this position. The position is also eligible for a yearly bonus. Final salary is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :$180,000—$190,000 USD
