Purpose of Position

To close sales by servicing your assigned territory and converting Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) to won deals.

Minimum Work Experience

  • 3 years of corporate sales experience.
  • Information Technology sales experience is an asset.

Education Requirements

  • A postsecondary diploma, or degree, or equivalent experience.

Job Role Responsibilities

  • Convert Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to won deals.
  • Achieve sales targets by closing deals from new and existing customers.
  • Build high value relationships with decision makers through regular communication and meetings to ensure their technology needs are addressed.
  • Manage assigned accounts and opportunities by performing portfolio review, cross-selling, and up-selling activities.
  • Work efficiently with technical pre-sales to provide timely and accurate product and services quotes.
  • Work efficiently with Sales Assistants, Sales Associates, and Marketing to mutually achieve sales department goals.
  • Contribute to collaborative efforts for organizing promotional events.
  • Engage in professional development including sales and solution training.
  • Update our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with accurate client and opportunity information.
  • Ensure overall client satisfaction by being a client advocate and escalating issues as required.
  • Manage daily administrative tasks
  • Other Related Duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proven experience with developing long-term customer relationships.
  • Track record of achieving targets and business objectives
  • Understanding of sales and marketing concepts and strategies and ability to stay current on these topics.
  • Must have knowledge of IT industry products and services.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Access to a vehicle for personal transportation throughout Winnipeg and rural Manitoba.

  • Must be self-motivated and confident with a desire and aptitude of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Proficient in the English language, excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with clients and co-workers in a professional manner with a positive, can-do disposition.
  • Proficient in business communication, including writing, editing and formatting skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
