Overview

  • The National Sales Manager will provide national sales support for an economy brand with over 100 hotels in Canada. This role will be primarily focused on the crew segment to drive project based corporate business across the hotel portfolio.
  • The National Sales Manager will work closely with their Director of Sales to develop the sales strategy to ensure we achieve the revenue goals we have committed to our client.
  • This position is home-based.

Job Description

  • Identify and develop business from blue and grey collar accounts that have national travel potential.
  • Distribute RFPs and business opportunities to applicable hotels to gain acceptance in preferred hotel programs.
  • Work with regional, national account teams to activate business and grow share.
  • Requalify and grow business from existing account list.
  • Work with brand for rate loading and reporting.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with brand stakeholders.
  • Develop key relationships and when necessary, travel for in-person meetings with clients and partners.

Requirements

  • Please send resume in English.
  • Minimum 5 years in a regional or national hotel sales role focused on business transient and crew segments for economy or mid-scale brands.
  • Strong understanding of hotel systems, RFP process, and brand tools.
  • Understands how to communicate and negotiate effectively so that prospecting efforts are converted into actualized revenue.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with hotel clients and team members.
  • General hotel operations knowledge.
  • Proven experience using a CRM system to manage your sales pipeline and be held accountable for daily activities and follow-ups to track progress within your sales cycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to create and deliver general correspondence, proposals, and reports.
  • Strong organization, time management, and adaptability skills are essential.
  • A collaborative team player who is goal-oriented, eager to contribute and learn from others, while seeking continuous improvement.
  • Strong proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications (ie. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint) to effectively manage your portfolio.
  • Experience working in a remote home office environment and the ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • French/bilingual required to interact with French-speaking clients.
  • Applicant can reside anywhere in Canada.
