How you can help and what we can accomplish together

The practitioner's primary role is to promote and nurture the psychological well-being and health of guests seen in a collaborative interdisciplinary setting.

Considering clinical interests, level of experience, training and education, the practitioner may treat a wide variety of mood disorders by supporting individuals who are undergoing psychedelic therapy. The role will include administering therapy intake assessments, utilizing screening instruments and providing ongoing therapeutic support throughout the guest's treatment. This will include individualized therapy sessions designed to assist guests in discovering insights, improving coping mechanisms, nurturing integration experiences and improving their overall quality of life.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Provide integrative psychotherapy services for Ketamine, Special Access and other Psychedelic based programs

- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the appropriate path of treatment with regard to guest insight, safety and motivation

- Develop and implement a unique therapy treatment plan that includes preparation, discovery and integration strategies to improve guest outcomes

- Collaborate and participate in ongoing centre projects and initiatives

- Participate in a variety of team and/or committee case consultations through practice evaluation, identifying opportunities for change, assessing available resources, initiating solutions and analyzing outcomes

- Maintain appropriate clinical records and data requirements in accordance with provincial and federal legislation

- Provide referrals to appropriate 'partners in practice' for ongoing community treatment and care

- Develop and review content related to educational resources for guests, families and staff members in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Suppor the development and delivery of the Special Access Program in coordination with other stakeholders

Let's talk about you

- Completion of a master's degree in the discipline of Social Work, Clinical Counselling, Clinical Psychology or other accredited, licensed disciplines

- Fully licensed and insured to practice in the jurisdiction of the position applied for

- Therapsil training is an asset

- Knowledgeable and skilled in treating a variety of mental health disorders

- In good standing with professional College and mental health association

- Trauma-informed care training and approach

- Experience with psychedelic-assisted therapies, mindfulness-based therapies, CBT or similar modalities is an asset

- Experience working with diverse adult populations

- Experience managing client flow and working in multidisciplinary settings is a plus

- Authentic, non-judgemental, intuitive and empathic, providing respectful and nuanced care

- Comfortable with new environments and the ability to adapt to evolving processes

- Lived and/or integrated experiences informing a deeper understanding of treatment is welcomed

- Dedicated to transforming the mental health care system and landscape
