SUMMARY
The Welder is involved in the joining of pipe, and other piping components. This work exists outdoors and may be physically demanding. (Outdoor rate premium applies -$3/hr and nightshift premium $3/hr)
Location: Acheson Yard
Shift: (4x10) Night Shift & Day Shift
Salary: $53.17 (Inclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, RSP Matching, and education and training)
- $3.00/hr outdoor premium (If applicable)
- $3.00/hr night shift premium
- Potential OT available
JOB DUTIES
- Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
- Read and interpret weld procedures to determine requirements of the job
- Utilize different processes and fillers depending on the Client requirements(6010,7018 electrodes or wire feed process)
- Clean and check weld for defects
- Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
- May perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be an Alberta registered ticketed journeyman and hold a B-pressure ticket recognized by ABSA
- Alberta B-Pressure Certificate and current PQR's may be required
- Must have experience in roll welding using flux cored wire process on Groove welds and Fillet welds.
- CSTS-09 and/or CSO
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Must be physically able to lift 50lbs
- Organized and self-motivated
