Position: Clinical Operations Manager

Competition: 2022-289

Status: Part-Time

Department: Administration (Clinical)

HOURS OF WORK: Evenings and weekends; both 7.5 and 11.25 hour shifts (subject to change based on operational needs)

POSITION SUMMARY:

In keeping with the BGH mission, values and strategic directions of the hospital and as a member of the Leadership Team, the Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of hospital activities across the organization acting as the manager designate on evenings and weekends. This includes ensuring safe and cost effective utilization and management of all hospital resources. Responsibilities are across the patient care and support programs and in conjunction with the entire organization.

The Clinical Operations Manager will facilitate interdepartmental, internal, and external communication and consultation for issues related to managing patient flow, over capacity, staffing, consulting, assigning and directing clinical and non-clinical staff.

Education & Experience

  • Educational preparation at the baccalaureate level is required, masters preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of acute hospital operations and a solid understanding of the scope of practice for all professional designations to ensure a safe work environment.

Currently registered with a Regulatory College

  • Minimum of three years of recent experience in a clinical leadership role
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work regularly
