OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take inventory of materials shipped or received;
- Store, count, weigh, and open materials received;
- Load and unload trucks, and other vehicles;
- Fill warehouse orders;
- Assist in hose assemblies;
- Label boxes to identify materials;
- Dispose of leftover packing materials such as wooden crates, pallets, and cardboard;
- Investigate errors and take corrective actions;
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Prior manufacturing or production experience is considered an asset;
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn;
- Strong work ethic, reliable and committed to the success of the team;
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment;
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many warehouse items are cumbersome and heavy;
- Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing;
- Understanding of inventory;
- Awareness of Health & Safety and Security measures in place to prevent injuries;
- Understanding of how to dispose of hazardous waste material in a safe manner;
- Ability to create labels, track inventory, and keep a record of storage;
- Ability to work well with others;
- Related licensing and certification an asset (i.e. valid Forklift Certification)
