The Role

We are looking for a bright, motivated and results driven Business Development employee to join our GTA operations. Reporting to the VP, Corporate Development this GTA based position will play a critical role in the company's growth as we continue to expand our presence in Ontario and beyond. It is a great opportunity for a junior professional with an interest in sales, client relations and/or marketing to drive Normac's growth.

The role will build upon and reinforce Normac's market position by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strategic relationships with real estate professionals and supporting marketing initiatives. The work is diverse, challenging and rewarding and allows you to be hands-on and wear multiple hats as we expand our operations. This is a full-time work from home position however, regular travel throughout the province is required for attending events and meetings.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Marketing diploma or equivalent education considered

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and expand existing business relationships to maximize revenue through meetings, lunch-and-learns, and other value-added events.
  • Identify, qualify leads, and close new clients in multiple markets throughout Ontario. Support the Normac team in other provinces as required.
  • Plan and execute trade shows and external events to promote Normac.
  • Represent Normac at industry association events, golf tournaments, and other events.
  • Host and manage virtual presentations, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.
  • Support the proposal sales cycle as required.
  • Develop marketing strategies and techniques to maximize Normac's business opportunities,
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address clients' needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to regional marketing materials, including but not limited to, blog posts and social media activity.
  • Gain industry knowledge through education, publications, networks, and professional organizations.
  • Uphold Normac's customer service standards.

Skills and Qualification Requirements:

  • Perform administrative support or other duties as required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, client relations, and/or marketing.
  • Strong sales aptitude, including prospecting, negotiating, and closing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Positive, high-energy, and professional attitude with a desire to satisfy clients' needs.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to connect with and adapt to various audiences.
  • Ability to strategize, understand the market, and identify areas for growth and improvement.
  • History of consistently meeting targets and goals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team player; a self-starter with a strong drive to succeed.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and assist the team as required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT), Outlook, and similar platforms.
  • Experience using CRM software is an asset.
  • Graphic design experience is an asset.
  • Must have a dependable motor vehicle to complete duties and responsibilities. All driving for business purposes will be reimbursed as per Normac's km reimbursement policy.
