Salary:

Do you have a proven track record of completing project management or preconstruction tasks for interior renovation projects of 10,000 sq ft to 125,000 sq ft.? Are you experienced working with engineers, sub-contractors, architects, and interior designers? Do you love all the details that come with managing interior renovation work?

Truspace is looking for a hardworking, construction and design-savvy person who is amenable to new ways of working and new ways of looking at the design + construction industry. A high level of detail is critical for planning, scheduling, estimating, and working with clients and teams. The successful candidate will be personable and able to present in a caring, confident, and proactive manner to all stakeholders in a project.

Responsibilities

  • Create proposals and scope of work for clients to sign off on and the design and construction teams to work from to create successful projects
  • Lead needs analysis for technical aspects of the project to ensure all needs are discovered and met in the design and build process
  • Responsible to develop and the pre-construction schedule and estimate
  • Responsible for clear communication of needs and requirements to the design-build team, including consultants and engineers
  • Lead the project after sales through design, estimating, and, permitting, and tendering for a complete handover to construction
  • Work collaboratively with the team throughout the life of the project
  • Maintain client relationships and create repeat and referral business
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Degree or Diploma in business, construction management, communications, interior design, or architectural technology
  • 5+ years of successfully leading the pre-construction for interior design and/or construction
  • Design education is an asset
  • Experience working in a distributed work environment is an asset
  • Class five driver's license and able to drive to client meetings and complete site visits
  • Excellent communication – both verbal and written
  • Team-focused – able to create and maintain valuable relationships with team members and clients
  • Entrepreneurial and self-driven
  • Firm grasp of numbers and experience creating proposals that work for both the client and the company
  • Works well with people and in a team environment, but is also able to work alone and get things done with little supervision
