Position: Road Construction Senior Inspector

Opportunity: Multi-Year Municipal Road Rehabilitation, including Watermain & Sewer

Location: GTA

Minimum Qualification: rcsi with proven experience on previous contracts

Expectations; While full-time at site, the expectations, and activities are Including but not limiting to:

• Full familiarity with interpreting the drawings, and shop drawings
• Full familiarity with Traffic Control protocols
• Ability to directly liaise with the contractor, overseeing all operations related to Road Rehabilitation, Construction, Watermain & Sewer
• Providing advice to the Contractor regarding the interpretation of the contract drawings and specifications and the supplemental details, instructions and clarifications as required
• Inspecting all layout and construction work to ensure compliance with the contract specifications and drawings and that all works are completed in good workmanship
• Notifying the Contractor of any deficiencies in the construction of the work, instructing the Contractor to take appropriate corrective measures, confirm and report the results of the corrective measures
• Preparing and maintaining notes, diaries, records, photographs and reports to document the progress of the work and to substantiate the quality and quantity of work performed
• Preparing and maintaining notes, diaries, records, photographs and reports to document exposed utilities before backfill to ensure no damage occurred due to construction
• Preparing and maintaining notes, diaries, records, before and after photographs and reports to document all work taking place on private/business properties
• Ability to directly supervise the QC activities of the contractor
• Ability to directly liaise with the sub-consultants
• Familiarity with Grade & Elevation Checking
• Performing all calculations related to materials, both removed, and installed, while marinating accurate records
• Assisting the CA in verifying the quantities, and preparing the progress payments
• Marinating As-Built Drawing to the utmost accuracy
• Other tasks assigned by the CA, and PM
