Our cutting-edge technologies and solutions are trusted by military and commercial customers worldwide. We are currently seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to join our Ottawa based team!

What will you be doing?

  • Leading the application of Configuration Management best practice using MMIST's PLM tools, revising and adapting processes and procedures as required.
  • Act as the central point of contact and assume responsibility for recording and securely storing all drawings, customer specifications, and digital data at MMIST.
  • Promoting and adapting 'best practice' engineering to support design and manufacturing.
  • Support the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process as the Configuration Management Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Creating and maintaining models / drawings of proposed designs, either 2D or 3D, using CAD software.
  • Ensuring that the quality processes and procedures defined in MMIST's Quality Management System are met and maintained.
  • Maintain comprehensive logs for drawings, customer specifications, and digital data, ensuring the proper functioning of the respective storage systems.
  • Managing design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product.
  • Ensuring self-development under the guidance of the Mechanical Engineering team.
  • Contributing, being involved and actively supporting the continuous improvement process within every facet of the organization.

What do we need from you?

  • Previous experience of working in engineering design and manufacturing configuration management environment.
  • Solid understanding of Configuration Management and CM2.
  • Strong experience in maintaining a well-organized CAD library, ensuring proper naming conventions and revision controls.
  • Accreditation to CM2(CMII) Configuration Management is highly desirable.
