With a sizable retail store, “grab and go” café, and West Coast inspired full-service restaurant, there is never a dull day at this beautiful tourist destination. If you are passionate about quality food and beverages, organization, and enjoy working on a team we would love to hear from you.
The Prospect Point Ice Cream Attendant's main duties include, but are not limited to, creating custom espresso and tea based beverages, preparation of café food items, serving ice cream, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the café, following proper food and cash handling procedures, and carrying out opening, mid-day or closing procedures.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet Guests and contribute to a positive experience; be welcoming and smile
  • Ensure all transactions are completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Replenish stock, maintain cleanliness of all food venues, guest seating area and food storage areas
  • Operate all food and beverage equipment in a safe manner, including natural gas powered equipment
  • Communicate with Quick Service Supervisor regarding stock levels,
  • Maintain a positive, team oriented work environment
  • Follow all HAACP and Food Safe requirements
  • Follow all procedures outlined in the Team Member Handbook
  • Be knowledgeable and promote the Capilano Group of Companies
  • Promote a safe work environment paying particular attention to food and drink safety
  • Take reasonable care to protect your own, co-workers and Guest's health and safety
  • Be alert to hazards and immediately report any concerns of yours or our guests to your supervisor
  • Ensure your ability to work without risk to your health and safety or any other person's safety is not impaired by alcohol, drugs or other causes
Qualifications:
  • Previous food service industry experience
  • Must have current Serving It Right certificate
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task
  • Positive attitude and a strong desire to provide experiences Guests are amazed by
  • Strong communication skills, multilingual is considered an asset
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs, climb a step ladder or climb a step stool

Wage: $17.85 plus gratuities.
