Glenlyon Norfolk School (GNS) is an independent day school from JK-12 with a caring and thriving community. We are currently seeking qualified candidates to join our boarding team:

House Parent

Permanent, Part-time (20-25 hours/week)

Thursdays: 4:30pm - 11:00pm

Sat-Sun (alternating 8:00am - 4:00pm or 4:00pm - 11:00pm)

Position Overview

The House Parent is a supportive member of the Gryphon House boarding team responsible for student supervision and the overall academic and social/emotional well-being of all boarding students. This role assists in the implementation of an exceptional program, which includes residential activities, local weekend excursions and activities, tutoring, health and wellness care and supervision. The House Parent promotes an environment that is safe, inclusive and built on GNS values, enabling all students to perform at their best. What You'll Bring

The successful candidate will be a self-directed individual who is patient, kind and hard-working. You will have experience working with youth and have a good understanding of the health and wellness needs of young people. Previous experience working in a boarding or residential program, and First Aid or Mental Health First Aid training would be a strong asset. A class 5 driver's license is required.
