Mainline Living Property Management is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Community Director to join our team in Chilliwack! As a key member of our team, you will report directly to the Community Director.

This position is responsible for assisting the Community Director with the day-to-day operations of managing a residential property, while ensuring the property is in good working order. This position is directly responsible for renting suites, helping to manage the rent collection process, creating a sense of community, and providing a high level of customer care to the Residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Show and lease suites to prospective residents
  • Host open houses and promote leasing in the community
  • Assist prospective residents with their application paperwork
  • Schedule move-ins and complete the tenancy agreement paperwork for new residents
  • Ensure resident issues are dealt with in a professional and courteous manner
  • Coordinate resident events and build a sense of community
  • Ensure issues and service requests are addressed quickly and completely
  • Follow up with residents to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Ensure the retention of residents through a high level of customer service
  • Negotiate tenancy agreement renewals for current residents
  • Ensure all files are correctly completed and kept up to date in accordance with company standards
  • Ensure rent is collected and deposited, and proactively contact any residents who have outstanding balances
  • Cleaning of common areas, suites, and community grounds, when required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience with areas of residential property operations, including minimum 1-2 years experience in the industry
  • Good working relationship and knowledge of the residential property management.
  • Working knowledge of YARDI or property management software
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and able to quickly pivot between varied responsibilities for this position
  • Must be able to travel locally for meetings and business requirements
  • Must own and properly register and insure own vehicle
  • Must possess valid driver's license
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends when required

Education

  • High School Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
  • Considered Assets: other professional qualifications related to residential property management and leasing

Salary Range: $48,000 - $53,000
