The Prince George Native Friendship Centre (PGNFC) delivers programs and services through a lens of reconciliation, as we have been doing since the inception of the PGNFC for the past 50+ years. Join our integrated services team as a:

Program Facilitator - Full-Time

Starting Point Youth Employment Readiness


You are a proven facilitator with experience in program implementation and instruction. This role works with the Employment Centre Counsellor to accept referrals into the program and collaborate on follow up activities; coordinates with internal/external community resources to support our clients; completes all reporting items, including intake, exit forms and narrative reports and provides Client support and advocacy.


Qualifications include:

  • Post secondary Diploma combined with related and proven experience in employment training field
  • Certification or demonstrated experience as a life skills coach, employment trainer, job placement or employment counsellor
  • Proven experience in a facilitation capacity
  • Understanding of the Youth Employment Program and a knowledge of the applicable job readiness requirements for the local job market
  • Awareness of community services, resources, and systems
  • Relationships with local employers to support participant training and job placement
  • Experience in working with Aboriginal groups/communities in a cultural context
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community-based employment supports and the local and regional job markets
  • Knowledge of application of service standards as per accreditation bodies
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse clientele on an individual and group basis
  • Ability to undergo a successful criminal record search prior to starting in position
  • Our starting wage is $20.04/Hr. - $22.04/Hr. based on qualifications and experience
