General Labourer

We are seeking a General Labourer to support construction operations through material delivery and staging, site preparation and cleanup, installation assistance, and general maintenance and repairs. The role involves operating hand and power tools, forklifts and pallet jacks, skid steers and loaders, as well as company vehicles and trailers. The General Labourer will work under the direction of a construction foreperson, project manager, or crew lead and should be comfortable with frequent local travel between job sites.

Responsibilities

• Handle, move, deliver, and stage construction materials.
• Prepare construction sites and support installation activities.
• Operate hand and power tools, forklifts, pallet jacks, skid steers, and loaders.
• Operate company vehicles and trailers during local travel between job sites.
• Assist with general maintenance and repairs.
• Clean and maintain work sites, tools, and equipment.
• Support construction crews and follow direction from site leadership.
• Apply safe work practices while developing new construction skills.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with material handling and equipment operation.
• Ability to operate vehicles safely.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices.
• Manual dexterity and physical stamina.
• Strong teamwork and adaptability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in construction labour.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• WHMIS certification.
• Occupational Health and Safety training.
