Sanitation Technician – Start Immediately | $21.00/hour | Full-Time Hours | Mississauga

What you will do

You help keep food safe. Before production starts, you make sure the equipment and work areas are clean and sanitized, following food safety rules (GMP, HACCP and CFIA).

• Clean and sanitize dairy equipment such as production lines, tanks, silos, pipes, pasteurizers, pumps, valves and fillers
• Run CIP (Clean-in-Place) and COP (Clean-out-of-Place) cleaning by following written steps (SSOPs)
• Clean floors, drains, walls, ceilings, coolers and storage areas
• Mix and use cleaning chemicals safely and check that the strength is correct
• Take equipment apart for deep cleaning and put it back together
• Clean inside tanks, silos and vats only after you are trained and approved
• Fill out cleaning logs and checklists
• Help with inspections before production starts
• Follow all safety rules, including PPE, WHMIS, lockout/tagout (LOTO) and confined-space procedures

What we are looking for

• Sanitation experience in a food or dairy plant is a plus, but we will consider motivated people who are ready to learn
• CIP/COP experience is an asset
• Confined-space experience is an asset (training may be provided)
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals
• Careful worker who can follow written steps
• Can read and write basic English
• Comfortable working in wet, humid, hot and cold areas
• Can lift 25 to 30 kg and work on ladders or raised platforms

This position is offered through 3PL Inc., a licensed Ontario Temporary Help Agency (THA-0000001772). Successful candidates will be employed by 3PL Inc. and assigned to client worksites. This posting is for an existing vacancy. Canadian experience is not required, and equivalent experience gained in other jurisdictions is welcome. This position offers full-time hours on a temporary assignment basis. The assignment is based on client operational needs and may be extended, shortened or ended at any time; 3PL Inc. will communicate any changes. 3PL Inc. may use automated or AI-based tools to help screen or assess candidates.
