Warehouse Worker /Picker/Packer/Immediate Start

Position: Warehouse Cleaner
Location: Edmonton, Alberta - T5S 2W2
Duration: 1 month temp (May get Extended)
Client: Leading Tools Manufacturer
Pay Rate: $19 hr

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Cleaner to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate will assist with waste removal, recycling, cleaning, and general warehouse maintenance while following established safety procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse facility.

Break down cardboard boxes and remove trash, loose shrink wrap, banding, and other waste materials.

Sweep floors and keep warehouse work areas clean and free of debris.

Sort scrap materials for disposal and recycling.

Operate trash compactors and industrial vacuum cleaners as required.

Move warehouse gondolas and other materials to support cleaning and maintenance activities.

Assist with proper product stacking and organization when needed.

Follow established procedures for handling and labeling hazardous materials.

Comply with all applicable warehouse safety rules and OSHA requirements.

Wear required personal protective equipment while working in designated areas.

Work collaboratively with team members while maintaining productivity and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong work ethic, reliability, integrity, and a sense of urgency.

Flexibility to accommodate changing work schedules.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs frequently.

Ability to occasionally lift heavier items, up to 75 lbs, as required.

Ability to properly stack and organize materials.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.

Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures carefully.

Working Conditions

Warehouse environment with varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions.

Exposure to noise, dust, and other airborne particles.

Work around warehouse machinery and equipment, including forklifts and production equipment.

Prolonged standing, frequent bending, reaching, and occasional ladder climbing.

Regular physical activity involving material handling and cleaning tasks.

Required Safety Equipment

Steel-toe safety boots.

Safety vest.

Safety glasses and other personal protective equipment as required.

Education

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.

Experience

At least 1 year of relevant work experience preferred.

Language Requirement

English proficiency required.
