Temp-Logic is seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Installer & Service Technician to join our team in Kitchener, Ontario. The ideal candidate has experience installing, servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. We are looking for a hands-on professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, prioritizes safety, and provides excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, replace, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ventilation systems, and related components.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system performance issues and complete necessary repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, equipment testing, and system start-ups.
• Troubleshoot commercial refrigeration systems and rooftop units where applicable.
• Handle refrigerants and perform gas-related work within the scope of applicable certifications and authorizations.
• Read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Communicate repair recommendations and system issues clearly to customers.
• Maintain accurate service records and follow applicable safety procedures and Ontario codes.
• Keep tools, equipment, and job sites clean, organized, and safe.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, or service.
• Relevant Ontario trade certification or registered apprenticeship status appropriate to the work performed.
• Valid Ontario driver's licence and satisfactory driving record.
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment, troubleshooting, electrical controls, and mechanical systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Certifications

Depending on the work performed, candidates should have the applicable certifications:

• 313A – Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic: Particularly relevant for commercial HVAC and refrigeration.
• 313D – Residential Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic: Relevant to residential air conditioning work.
• ODP Certification: For applicable refrigerant-handling duties.
• G.2 or G.1 Gas Technician: For regulated gas installation and service work, as required.

Red Seal endorsement, manufacturer training, and additional HVAC certifications are assets.

Preferred Experience

• Two or more years of HVAC installation or service experience.
• Experience with furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, rooftop units, or refrigeration systems.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance, equipment diagnostics, and system commissioning.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
