Swing Driver - Rear Load

Integrated Staffing is currently recruiting for a Swing Driver. This opportunity is ideal for experienced, safety-conscious drivers who are comfortable operating different types of equipment and taking on various roles based on daily operational needs.
THE ROLE

• Safely operate various types of collection equipment and vehicles;
• Service customers according to scheduled routes and requirements;
• Be prepared to work in different roles and operate different equipment, often with little notice;
• Collect residential waste and recycling as required;
• Use a tablet to update routes and communicate with dispatch by radio;
• Open and close heavy bin doors and safely secure bins and tarps to the truck;
• Push and pull front-end containers as required for service;
• Maintain the vehicle in a clean, safe and orderly condition;
• Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures;
• Meet productivity and performance expectations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Class 3 driver's license with Air Brake endorsement;
• Clean driver's abstract with no preventable accidents within the past year;
• Previous experience operating waste collection equipment is an asset;
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Strong organizational and communication skills;
• Knowledge of the region and surrounding communities;
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy bins and equipment;
• Ability and willingness to collect waste and recycling;
• Strong attendance and performance record;
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety;
• Flexibility to work varying start and end times, including occasional Saturdays and Statutory Holidays;
• Willingness to take on different roles and operate other equipment based on operational needs.

• $24.34/hour + 4% vacation pay;
