Automotive Apprentice Technician

Job Overview

Toronto Hyundai is looking for a motivated Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our growing service team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about the automotive industry and eager to build their skills while working alongside experienced, licensed technicians.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnosing and performing vehicle maintenance and repairs following Hyundai guidelines and procedures
• Work under the supervision and mentorship of licensed technicians to develop technical skills
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
• Notify Service Advisors when repairs are completed and ensure repair orders are properly documented
• Verify parts and components prior to installation
• Move, organize, and transport tires within the shop and storage areas as required
• Assist with tire changes and seasonal tire handling when needed
• Assist with customer vehicle washing and preparation for delivery
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop and service areas
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Prior dealership experience or mechanic experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with automotive repair processes
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on vehicles for extended periods
• Good communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset
• Prior experience with maintenance tasks or automotive systems is advantageous
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or coursework in automotive technology is beneficial.
• Valid Drivers License in good standings
