Creative Thinking. Strong Design. Bring Great Projects to Life.
About the Firm
Our client is a well-established and respected architecture and design firm with a diverse portfolio of projects across many sectors.
With a strong reputation for thoughtful, sustainable design and a collaborative approach to project delivery, the firm has built lasting relationships and continues to work on interesting and meaningful projects across Canada.
The culture is supportive, social and team-oriented, with a genuine appreciation for creativity, fresh ideas and people who take pride in their work.
They are now looking for a talented Marketing & Proposal Coordinator to join their Abbotsford team and bring a combination of creativity, organization and strong visual communication skills to the practice.
The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves the creative side of marketing but also enjoys the strategy, coordination and attention to detail that go into producing a winning proposal.
You will work closely with architects, senior leadership and an established marketing team to bring project experience, technical information and design concepts together into beautifully presented, compelling proposals and marketing materials.
A significant part of the role will involve developing RFPs, RFQs and other competitive submissions, but there is plenty of variety beyond proposals.
From creating engaging presentations and marketing collateral to supporting award submissions, digital content and business development initiatives, you will have the opportunity to put your creative skills to work across a range of projects.
The ideal person has a great eye for design, enjoys writing and storytelling, and knows how to turn a lot of information into something polished, clear and visually engaging.
The Role
Coordinate and produce RFPs, RFQs and other competitive proposal submissions.
Work with architects, consultants and leadership to develop engaging, well-written proposal content.
Create polished layouts, graphics, presentations and marketing materials.
Manage proposal timelines, submission requirements and contributions from project teams.
Develop and maintain project profiles, staff resumes, qualifications packages and marketing resources.
Prepare creative materials for award submissions, exhibitions and industry events.
Contribute to website content, social media and other digital marketing initiatives.
Support business development activities and sector-specific marketing campaigns.
Help maintain a consistent and visually compelling brand presence.
Bring fresh ideas to the table and identify opportunities to improve marketing materials and proposal processes.
What We're Looking For
3–8+ years of experience in marketing, proposal coordination, graphic design or a similar role.
Experience within architecture, engineering, construction or another design-focused industry strongly preferred.
Experience preparing RFPs, RFQs, proposals or qualifications packages.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop.
Confident working with Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint.
A strong eye for graphic design, typography, layout and visual storytelling.
Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.
Ability to take technical or complex information and present it in an engaging, easy-to-understand way.
Highly organized, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
Proactive, resourceful and confident working both independently and collaboratively.
Samples of proposals, presentations, brochures or other creative marketing work would be welcomed.
What's Offered
Competitive compensation, depending on experience.
Bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits.
A great work-life balance, with a hybrid model of three days in the office and flexible working hours, giving you the best of both collaboration and independence.
A well-established firm with an excellent industry reputation.
An experienced and supportive marketing team to collaborate with.
A social, friendly and genuinely collaborative workplace.
Exposure to interesting and significant architectural projects across Canada.
A varied role with room for creativity, fresh ideas and professional growth.
The opportunity to contribute to the firm's continued success and market presence.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves making things look great, enjoys the challenge of putting together a standout proposal and wants more variety than a traditional marketing role.
If you have a creative eye, strong writing skills and enjoy working with people who are passionate about what they do, we would love to hear from you.
