Driver / Mover (Furniture Delivery)

CastleUp Experience Centre is looking for a dependable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused Driver / Mover to join our growing furniture, mattress, and appliance retail team.

This position is ideal for someone with an excellent driving record, a strong work ethic, and the physical ability to safely deliver and move large household items. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating company delivery vehicles, including 3-ton trucks, and assisting with the loading, transportation, unloading, and placement of furniture, mattresses, and appliances.

As the face of our company during customer deliveries, you will play an important role in providing an exceptional delivery experience while ensuring products arrive safely, professionally, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company delivery vehicles, including 3-ton trucks, while following all traffic laws and company safety procedures
• Operate vehicles appropriate to the driver's licence classification and assigned delivery route
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any mechanical, safety, or maintenance concerns
• Drive throughout the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding regions to complete customer deliveries
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload furniture, mattresses, appliances, and other merchandise
• Ensure all products are properly secured to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Perform room-of-choice delivery, including carrying and positioning products within customers' homes
• Assist with basic product placement, setup, and assembly when required
• Inspect products before loading and upon delivery to ensure order accuracy and product condition
• Assemble or install furniture when required
• Communicate professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries
• Obtain customer signatures and complete delivery documentation when required
• Safely navigate residential properties, stairs, elevators, narrow spaces, and other delivery conditions
• Work closely with warehouse and sales staff to ensure efficient order fulfillment and delivery scheduling
• Assist with loading and unloading incoming shipments when not on delivery routes
• Help maintain clean, organized, and presentable delivery vehicles and warehouse areas
• Report vehicle maintenance issues, delivery concerns, accidents, or product damages promptly
• Follow all workplace health and safety policies and proper lifting and handling procedures
• Perform other warehouse and delivery-related duties as required

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence with a minimum 3-years driving experience.
• Excellent driving record and a clean driver's abstract demonstrating safe driving habits
• Previous experience operating a 3-ton truck, delivery truck, moving truck, or similar commercial vehicle
• Previous experience delivering furniture, appliances, moving services, or other large products is preferred
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move heavy furniture, mattresses, and appliances
• Physically capable of performing frequent lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs
• Professional, courteous, and customer-focused attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable navigating delivery routes using GPS and mobile devices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a delivery team
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
• Basic furniture assembly experience is an asset
• Willingness to assist with warehouse duties between delivery assignments
