Job Title: Pipeline Engineering – Manager
Location: Toronto, ON, Canada
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to oversee pipeline engineering and detailed design across Natural gas distribution and transmission systems. This role is responsible for engineering safety, reliability, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance while leading a team of supervisors and engineering professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead detailed pipeline engineering design for natural gas distribution and transmission systems across Ontario.
- Oversee engineering standards, technical quality, safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide engineering support for pipeline repairs, emergencies, and abnormal operating conditions.
- Lead and develop four supervisors and approximately 38 employees.
- Establish priorities, drive strategic initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Support alignment of engineering practices across Canadian and U.S. operations, as required.
Qualifications
- Mandatory Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with applicable Ontario practice and stamping requirements.
- Extensive experience in pipeline engineering, detailed design, and operational support.
- Strong knowledge of applicable CSA and API codes and standards; committee participation is an asset.
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams through supervisors.
- Strong strategic planning, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
- Valid Ontario G-class driver's licence with a clear motor vehicle record.
Work Arrangement and Travel
- Hybrid work opportunities on Wednesdays and Fridays, subject to team arrangements.
- Approximately 10–15% travel within Ontario and occasionally to the U.S.
