Insurance Customer Service Representative- Desjardins Agent Team Member

Location: 28 Sousa Mendes St, 2nd Floor, Toronto, ON

Work arrangement: Full-time, in-office. Daily attendance at our Toronto office is required; this is not a remote or hybrid role.

Compensation: $40,000–$50,000 annual base salary plus commission, depending on relevant experience, licensing, and demonstrated skills

Your Responsibilities
Assist clients with policy changes, renewals, billing questions, and general insurance inquiries.
Prepare and explain home, auto, and commercial insurance quotes.
Maintain and grow our existing book of business through excellent service, quote follow-ups, referrals, and identifying additional insurance needs.
Support life insurance conversations and sales as licensing and training allow.
Maintain accurate client records and follow through on outstanding tasks.
Work with the Agent and team to meet service, retention, and sales goals.

Clear communication, good organizational skills, and a professional, helpful attitude.
Comfort handling both customer service and sales conversations.
Confidence using computers and learning new systems.
Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and contribute to a team.
Previous customer service, sales, or insurance experience is an asset.

Language Skills
Portuguese and/or Spanish language skills are valued assets, and candidates who speak either language are particularly encouraged to apply. These additional language skills are not required.

Licensing
OTL and life insurance licensing through the LLQP pathway are required for this role. Already licensed candidates are welcome. Guidance and support are available for suitable candidates committed to obtaining both licences. Assigned insurance duties will reflect your licensing status.
