We are seeking a driven Business Development Representative focused on developing and growing LTL and Truckload (TL) freight business across Canada and the U.S.

This role is ideal for a proven transportation sales professional who knows how to prospect, open doors, develop new shipper relationships, and convert opportunities into profitable, recurring freight volumes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new LTL and TL freight business through cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, and industry relationships.
  • Identify and target shippers with consistent LTL, Truckload, and cross-border transportation requirements.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, converting prospects into active accounts and recurring freight.
  • Identify customer requirements including lanes, volumes, equipment, frequency, service expectations, and pricing needs.
  • Prepare competitive freight quotes, proposals, and customized transportation solutions.
  • Negotiate rates and service agreements while maintaining healthy margins and account profitability.
  • Grow existing accounts by identifying additional lanes, freight volumes, and service opportunities.
  • Partner closely with dispatch, operations, and pricing to ensure smooth onboarding and exceptional service execution.
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline reporting, sales forecasts, and account information.
  • Stay current on freight rates, capacity, market conditions, and transportation trends.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of transportation or logistics sales experience, ideally developing LTL and TL business.
  • Proven ability to prospect, win new shipper accounts, and generate profitable freight revenue.
  • Existing customer relationships or an established book of business considered a strong asset.
  • Solid understanding of LTL, Truckload, cross-border freight, lanes, equipment, rates, and transportation operations.
  • Strong cold-calling, relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong hunter mentality and ability to independently develop a territory and pipeline.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Experience with CRM and transportation management systems considered an asset.

Why Join?

  • Opportunity to build and grow your own LTL and TL customer portfolio.
  • Strong operational support to help turn new business into long-term customers.
  • Direct access to operations, pricing, and leadership.
  • Entrepreneurial environment where strong sales performance is recognized and rewarded.
  • Opportunity to make a direct impact on continued business growth.

If you know how to find the freight, win the shipper, and grow LTL and TL business, we'd like to hear from you.
