Job Summary:
We are seeking a Shop Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Class 5 Licence, clean driver's abstract, and be open to learning new things. This role involves both independent work and collaboration with other team members.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A CLASS 1 DRIVER JOB.
Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean the interior and exterior of trucks and trailers.
• Repair and install tires as needed.
• Drive service truck to various locations to provide maintenance services.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Assist technicians with tasks as needed.
• Perform spring and winter maintenance.
• Attend and participate in safety meetings and inspections.
• Utilize analytical and troubleshooting skills to address issues.
• Utilize computer skills for various tasks.
• Perform various other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Handling materials manually.
• Performing repetitive motions.
• Bending or twisting the body frequently.

Work Environment:

• Work both indoors and outdoors, often in non-environmentally controlled settings.
• Use standard safety equipment.
• Exposure to dangerous chemical substances.
• Work in extreme temperatures.
• Operate hazardous equipment, machinery, and tools.
• Exposure to loud noises and potential skin injuries.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with computers.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job.
• Prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
