Cleaner/Forklift Operator

Position: Cleaner/Forklift Operator (Dock Stocker)
Shift: Day – Monday to Friday / 9:00AM to 6:00PM
Rate: $21.50/hour
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Markham, ON

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweep, wet mop and machine clean, work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment. Includes aisles, stairs, rail pit and office area.
• Daily replenishment of packaging/shipping supplies.
• Daily emptying of trash and garbage containers to ensure the timely removal of waste.
• Reporting any faults or difficulties encountered with cleaning e.g., broken glass, faulty light bulbs, and loose wires. Report faults to the Operations Management Team.
• To clear the snow from entrance way and walkways, salt if necessary.
• To promote a clean, safe and positive work environment.
• Assumes additional related responsibilities as required

Requirements:

• Requires general internal training to perform function.
• Previous cleaning experience is an asset
• Previous knowledge of cleaning machinery (ie aisle sweeper) is an asset.
• Able to commit to a flexible work schedule, including overtime and weekends when required.
• Must be comfortable walking, standing, and bending for full shift
• Capable of lifting up to 50lbs repeatedly and safely.
