Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Business Analyst specializing in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence to support regulatory transformation initiatives, including the digitization and ongoing improvement of regulatory evaluation and reporting processes.
The successful candidate will work closely with business teams, senior stakeholders, and subject matter experts to translate business requirements into analytical solutions, develop performance monitoring products, and deliver actionable insights through dashboards, reports, and tracking tools.
This role requires strong analytical skills, expertise in Business Intelligence tools, and the ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be experienced in data analysis, business requirements gathering, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities 1. Business Analysis and Requirements GatheringGather, analyze, and document business requirements for regulatory evaluation, reporting, and performance monitoring initiatives.
Translate business needs into analytical solutions and Business Intelligence deliverables.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand detailed requirements and align solution designs with business objectives and user needs.
Facilitate discussions with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify short-term priorities and long-term business needs.
Support the development of operational and policy recommendations based on analytical findings.
Analyze business data to identify trends, inconsistencies, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and support dashboards, reports, trackers, and other regulatory performance monitoring products.
Use Business Intelligence tools and analytical methodologies to derive meaningful insights from data.
Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business users and leadership.
Support end-to-end BI solutions by connecting business requirements with data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
Help ensure reporting products provide accurate, relevant, and contextualized information for decision-making.
Prepare strategic business documentation, technical documentation, and analytical reports.
Develop business requirements documents and supporting materials for analytics initiatives.
Present findings, recommendations, and project updates clearly to technical teams, business users, and senior management.
Maintain documentation that supports consistent reporting practices and ongoing improvements.
Build strong working relationships across business units and functional teams.
Facilitate meetings and requirements-gathering sessions with project stakeholders and senior management.
Work with technical teams to ensure analytical solutions meet business requirements.
Coordinate with subject matter experts to validate data, reporting outputs, and business interpretations.
Support alignment between business initiatives, performance monitoring needs, and organizational objectives.
Support business requirements analysis, architecture, design, and delivery of cloud-based data and analytics solutions.
Collaborate on solutions involving platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Snowflake.
Contribute to initiatives involving data management, data engineering, visualization, advanced analytics, data science, and AI.
Support the development of analytical and quantitative models to improve reporting and business decision-making.
4+ years of direct, hands-on experience translating business requirements into analytical solutions and communicating findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver end-to-end Business Intelligence solutions.
4+ years of experience using data analytics tools and methodologies to derive insights from data.
4+ years of experience with Business Intelligence and analytical tools such as Excel PowerPivot, Cognos Cubes, and Microsoft Power BI.
5+ years of experience in written and verbal communication, including drafting strategic business and technical documentation.
5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams to understand detailed requirements and align solution design with product vision and user needs.
3+ years of hands-on experience in business requirements analysis, architecture, design, and end-to-end delivery of cloud-based data and analytics solutions using platforms such as Azure and Snowflake.
3+ years of experience developing business requirements documentation.
3+ years of experience building analytical and quantitative analysis models.
3+ years of experience facilitating meetings and communicating with senior management and project stakeholders.
Familiarity with data management, data engineering, data visualization, advanced analytics, data science, and AI initiatives.
Candidates must provide their own computer and related equipment.
The computer must run a modern operating system compatible with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and associated remote-access software. Windows is preferred.
Candidates are responsible for providing their own peripherals, office furniture, and supplies.
Required system access and credentials will be provided.
A criminal record check must be provided before the assignment begins, if requested.
The selected candidate must complete mandatory training related to privacy legislation, cybersecurity, information management, and workplace conduct.
Additional mandatory or optional training may be required.
