Fixtures Assembler – Manufacturing
Location: Dixie road and401 -Mississauga, ON
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour + 10% afternoon shift premium
Start Date: ASAP
Openings: 3 positions
Available Shifts
- Afternoon Shift (2 openings): Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–1:00 AM; Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
- Day Shift (1 opening): Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
About the Role
Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in Mississauga, is seeking detail-oriented Fixtures Assemblers to join their production team. This temporary-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for candidates with hands-on assembly and manufacturing experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble fixtures and components using assembly drawings and CAD schematics.
- Identify components and follow assembly specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
- Inspect finished products and identify quality issues.
- Perform assembly rework when required.
- Complete production records accurately and meet deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following health and safety procedures.
- Handle materials and lift up to 15 lbs as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of light assembly experience.
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in custom production.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings or CAD schematics.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Electrical fixture component manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
