Salary: $55,000–$60,000 per year + Profit Sharing About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage customer accounts, collect outstanding balances, and resolve payment discrepancies. This role is key to maintaining accurate accounts, reducing past-due receivables, and supporting cash flow objectives. The ideal candidate has strong communication and analytical skills, enjoys problem-solving, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced B2B environment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts and monitor outstanding balances.
- Contact customers regarding overdue invoices and secure payment commitments.
- Review aging reports and proactively reduce past-due receivables.
- Investigate invoice discrepancies, payment issues, deductions, and account disputes.
- Reconcile customer accounts and assist with unapplied or unidentified payments.
- Collaborate with Sales, Credit, Cash Application, and branch teams to resolve account issues.
- Identify high-risk accounts and escalate collection concerns as needed.
- Maintain accurate collection notes, account records, and reporting.
- Provide professional customer service while enforcing established payment terms and policies.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Credit, or a related field.
- Knowledge of B2B collections, aging reports, invoicing, and account reconciliations.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with ERP systems is an asset.
- Experience in wholesale distribution, construction supply, or industrial distribution is preferred.
- Competitive salary of $55,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience.
