Senior ETL Developer

Our Client is looking for an experienced Senior ETL Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data pipelines, data warehouses, and Business Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, AWS, SQL, ETL development, and data integration.

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

• Build and optimize data warehouse, data mart, and Business Intelligence solutions.

• Develop daily and initial-load ETL processes across structured, semi-structured, relational, and multidimensional data sources.

• Implement and maintain ETL scheduling, orchestration, and dependency management.

• Design efficient data models, perform data cleansing, and ensure data quality and integrity.

• Write complex SQL queries, optimize database performance, and troubleshoot data processing issues.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including source-to-target mappings, data models, and architecture diagrams.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and support testing and deployment.

• Investigate and resolve production issues while maintaining scalable and reliable data solutions.

• Microsoft Azure: Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Power BI

• Databricks: Hands-on experience with the Databricks platform

• AWS: Amazon Aurora, Amazon RDS, AWS Glue, Amazon OpenSearch

• ETL Development: Data extraction, transformation, loading, scheduling, and workflow dependencies

• Data Architecture: Data modeling, data marts, data warehousing, and scalable database design

• Database Technologies: SQL, complex query development, database administration, and performance tuning

• Data Management: Data integration, cleansing, analytics, validation, and quality assurance

• Version Control: Git and source control strategies

• Documentation: ETL mappings, data model diagrams, architecture artifacts, and technical design documents

• SDLC: Development, testing, debugging, quality assurance, and deployment

• Experience developing C#, APIs, and Azure Functions

• PowerShell scripting and automation

• Power BI dashboard development, KPI reporting, and ad hoc reporting

• Knowledge of AODA accessibility standards

• Experience with middleware, gateways, and application integration

• Familiarity with Information Management principles and best practices

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to gather, document, and validate business requirements.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience working in enterprise or government IT environments is an asset
