CPA Accountant / CPA Articling Student

Lloydminster, AB | $60,000–$125,000 annually and higher, depending on qualifications and experience

Jetstream Personnel Consulting is recruiting a CPA Accountant or CPA Articling Student on behalf of our client, an established public accounting firm in Lloydminster.

Whether you're working toward your CPA designation or already designated, this opportunity offers direct client interaction, a variety of accounting and tax work, and a flexible work schedule that supports balance between your career and life outside the office and future partnership opportunities.

Starting salary will reflect your qualifications and experience:

  • CPA Articling Student: $60,000–$80,000 annually.
  • Newly Designated CPA: $85,000–$100,000 annually.
  • CPA with 3–5 years of experience: $105,000–$125,000 annually.
  • CPA with 5 plus years of experience: $125,000 plus

Our client also offers a benefits package, a positive work environment and a flexible work schedule. Relocation assistance may be available for the successful candidate. Additional details are as follows:

  • Office standard hours are 1950 annually; 8 hour days from January to June and 7 hour days from July to December
  • 37.5 flex hours provided annually, if not used these hours are paid out
  • Overtime is paid on hours annually in excess of the 1950 standard hours at time and a half
  • Team members are provided 3 weeks of vacation with increases up to 5 weeks based on experience
  • Employer contributed pension between 3-6% after one year of employment
  • CPA member dues and CPA courses are paid

About the opportunity

Join a firm with three partners serving clients throughout Lloydminster and the surrounding area from its office located in Lloydminster. Working alongside the team, you will help individuals and businesses meet their accounting and taxation needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing financial statements for clients.
  • Preparing corporate and personal income tax returns.
  • Working directly with clients to gather information and assist with accounting and taxation needs.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and partners to complete accurate, timely client work.
  • Assisting with various tax related projects for corporate and personal clients.

Who we're looking for

  • Previous public accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Clear communication skills and a client-focused approach.
