Worklynx Recruitment Inc. is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee manufacturing, quality, shipping, and plant operations. The successful candidate will drive safety, productivity, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement while leading a high-performing team.

Reports To: Director of Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily manufacturing, production, quality, shipping, and plant operations.
  • Ensure achievement of quality, safety, productivity, service, and cost targets.
  • Lead, supervise, train, and develop plant supervisors and staff.
  • Oversee production and shipping schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Work closely with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
  • Manage staffing levels and allocate resources effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, capacity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Implement waste-reduction initiatives and identify opportunities to control costs and overtime.
  • Monitor operational performance and take corrective action when required.
  • Develop systems, processes, and performance metrics to optimize productivity and asset utilization.
  • Maintain a safe, productive, and respectful workplace.
  • Participate in the Health & Safety Committee and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop plant personnel.
  • Promote a positive, fair, and non-discriminatory work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • University education or equivalent combination of college education and 10+ years of industry experience.
  • Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a senior manufacturing leadership role.
  • Strong managerial and people-leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and HR practices.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, demand planning, and cost-control processes.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work with operational data and metrics.
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
