Appian Lead

Location: Toronto, Canada
Experience: 8+ years (with strong Appian leadership experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract (as applicable)

We are seeking an experienced Appian Lead to design, develop, and lead enterprise BPM and low-code automation solutions using the Appian platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Appian development expertise along with the ability to lead technical teams and collaborate with business stakeholders.

• Lead end-to-end Appian application design, development, and deployment

• Architect scalable BPM and workflow solutions using Appian Low-Code Platform

• Guide and mentor Appian developers and technical team members

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Design and implement process models, SAIL interfaces, and integrations

• Ensure best practices in Appian development, performance, and security

• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making

• Support application enhancements, upgrades, and production issues

• 8+ years of overall IT experience

• 5+ years of strong hands-on Appian development experience

• Expertise in:

  • Appian Process Models

  • SAIL Interface Design

  • Records & Reports

  • Expression Rules

  • Integrations (REST/SOAP)

• Experience with Appian administration and deployment

• Strong understanding of BPM, workflow automation, and case management

• Experience working with databases (SQL/Oracle) and APIs

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments

• Appian Certification (Senior Developer / Lead)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)

• Experience in financial services, insurance, or enterprise domains

• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work in fast-paced enterprise environments

• Experience working with onsite/offshore teams
