The RoleWe are seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Marketing & Communications to join our Corporate team. This role will develop and execute a unified national marketing and communications strategy that strengthens corporate reputation, supports business growth, and promotes consistent brand standards across all divisions. As a trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Team, this position will provide strategic leadership across enterprise marketing, communications, public relations, and stakeholder engagement.
Day to DayStrategic Leadership, Budget & Team Leadership
- Develop and execute the national Marketing & Communications Strategy, annual plans, priorities, budgets, performance metrics, and service standards.
- Provide executive counsel on communications, reputation management, stakeholder engagement, and corporate brand standards and messaging.
- Manage agency performance, external support, resource allocation, and cost control.
- Lead and develop a high-performing national marketing and communications function, mentor future leaders, and foster a service-oriented culture.
Corporate Communications
- Lead internal and external communications strategies and ensure messaging consistency across all divisions and operating units.
- Oversee executive communications, corporate announcements, speeches, presentations, newsletters, and employee communications.
- Manage media relations, advise on emerging issues, and lead crisis communications planning and execution.
Brand Management, Events & Community Investment
- Maintain and enhance the organization's brand architecture, guidelines, and standards, ensuring consistent application across all brand materials.
- Lead the strategic direction for major corporate and customer events, sponsorship programs, and community investment initiatives.
- Develop governance and reporting for sponsorship and community investment activities and measure return on investment and stakeholder impact.
Marketing Leadership & Stakeholder Support
- Provide strategic oversight for corporate, B2B, product, customer, trade, and digital marketing, including campaign priorities and resource allocation.
- Partner with business leaders to support growth initiatives, product launches, customer acquisition, and market expansion.
- Support executive engagement with producers, customers, industry associations, community organizations, and strategic partners.
Digital & Social Media
- Oversee corporate websites, social media channels, search engine optimization, analytics and reporting, digital advertising, and online reputation management.
- Develop governance for digital communications and social media use across divisions.
- Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business management, or a related field. A master's degree is considered an asset.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive marketing and communications experience, including at least 5 years leading enterprise marketing, communications, at a corporate level.
- Experience in agriculture, food processing, agribusiness or manufacturing is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of brand strategy, corporate communications, public and media relations, crisis communications, digital marketing, analytics, and online reputation management.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, change management and executive communications.
- Experience in strategic planning, budget management and agency oversight.
- Proven leadership, coaching, and team-development skills.
- Strong prioritization and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate organizational objectives into measurable plans.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-management skills.
- High degree of discretion when handling sensitive, confidential and proprietary information.
- Ability to travel occasionally and work outside regular hours as required.
