Working in a continuous manufacturing environment, you will troubleshoot equipment issues, complete repairs, and perform planned and preventive maintenance. Success in this role requires strong mechanical judgment, safe work practices, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with operators, tradespeople, supervisors, and technical partners.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate a safety-first mindset and follow required safe work practices, including lock-tag-try, hot work, line breaking, and confined-space entry.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on bearings, shafts, chains, conveyors, belts, sprockets, pumps, drives, and related equipment.
- Maintain and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, water, piping, and other plant systems.
- Complete preventive and predictive maintenance activities, identify equipment concerns, and resolve issues before they affect safety, quality, or production.
- Perform a full range of industrial cutting and welding—including torch cutting, stick welding, and wire welding—with a high level of skill, confidence, precision, and workmanship.
- Comprehensive knowledge and usage of oils and lubrications, rigging of equipment, set up and alignment of machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot breakdowns, problem solve, determine practical corrective actions, and support equipment reliability improvements.
- Communicate clearly about equipment condition, completed work, outstanding risks, and required follow-up.
- Maintain accurate work records and support continuous improvement in safety, quality, reliability, and productivity.
- Continue developing technical knowledge and remain current with industrial millwright practices.
- Perform other duties assigned by Maintenance Leaders and Shift Supervisors.
- Ontario 433A Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright).
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Three years of manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience, or more, is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor systems, drives, bearings, and mechanical power transmission.
- Ability to participate in and successfully complete a workplace skills assessment.
- Must work 3 on/3 off, rotating 12-hour day/night shift schedule, 24/7/365 including weekends and holidays.
- Must currently have the legal right to work and live in Canada

- Base rate: $44.29/hour, paid weekly
- Night premium: $0.80 per hour.
- Weekend premium: 1.5 times the applicable rate.
- Overtime premium: 1.5 times the applicable rate.
