Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Summary:

The Maintenance Millwright will be responsible for installation and maintaining, repair and maintenance of plant equipment, systems, and buildings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform safe work practices as well as safe operation of vehicles, power tools and equipment
  • Lead and assist in the construction, installation, repair and maintenance of plant and equipment
  • Clean and organize shop and other areas of the plant
  • Trouble shoot and problem solve
  • Perform welding and fabricating
  • Perform basic repairs on forklifts and skid steers
  • Check forms of communication daily regarding repairs needed
  • Record and document all servicing
  • Keep an inventory of parts necessary to perform duties
  • Increase knowledge of operating systems
  • Sustain 3.5% or less absenteeism
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned

Specifications:

  • Verified Millwright certification red seal
  • Boiler ticket would be an asset
  • Experience with automation is an asset
  • Minimum 2-5 years experience in manufacturing
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Must possess advanced mechanical abilities and helpful if possessing welding experience
  • Able to follow instructions and prioritize tasks
  • Able to endure physical labor
  • Must be able to perform shift work, 24/7.
  • Able to identify new opportunities for improvement.
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
  • Must work well with others
