Senior Software Developer (RQ11712)
- Title: Dashboard and Integrations — Senior Software Developer
- Organization: Justice Technology Services (JTS)

- Work Arrangement: Onsite (7.25 hours/day, Monday to Friday)
- Pay Rate: $95 – $101/hour (Incorporated)
- Security Clearance: CRJMC (Community Identity and Criminal Record Check)
Scope of Work & Deliverables
- Architecture Support: Design conceptual, logical, and physical architecture artifacts ensuring alignment with GO-ITS and enterprise patterns.
- Dashboard Expansion: Expand an existing pilot dashboard to track province-wide medicolegal autopsy casework metrics, workload analytics, and executive reporting indicators.
- Data Engineering & Pipelines: Develop secure data pipelines, APIs, reporting services, and dashboard capabilities.
- Systems Integration: Design and build secure interfaces between F-Path, Vanguard (QuinC), and Ontario justice-sector databases to exchange criminal charges, court data, subpoenas, and case dispositions.
- Legacy Consolidation: Consolidate legacy data sources into a unified platform to ensure synchronized and consistent data access across all OFPS (Ontario Forensic Pathology Service) locations.
Technical Requirements & Skillset1. Core .NET Application Development (10+ Years Experience)
- High proficiency in .NET Core, C#, .NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, and Identity C#.
- Front-end scripting utilizing JavaScript, jQuery, and XML/XSLT.
2. Enterprise Engineering Frameworks & Tools
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft elements: WCF, WPF, MS Sync Framework, Web Client Software Factory, MS Web Services, and Entity Framework.
- Toolsets: Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server (TFS) / Azure DevOps, DevExpress, Enterprise Library, and Cloud development.
3. Architecture & Service Design
- Practical design experience in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD).
- Building and consuming Web Services and Web APIs.
- Designing with UML models (Use Cases, Class, Component, and State diagrams).
- Documented experience managing large-scale data migrations.
4. Database, Integration, & Communications
- Advanced SQL Server development: writing scripts, T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and object definitions.
- Familiarity with Oracle RDBMS, Web Servers, and hierarchical/relational database technologies.
- Experience deploying middleware, gateways, and implementing networking/communications protocols.
Evaluation Weighting (Total: 100 Points)
- Criteria 1 (25 Pts): Core .NET Core, ecosystem programming language experience, and Windows Server environments.
- Criteria 2 (25 Pts): Mastery of Microsoft enterprise elements (WCF, WPF, Sync Framework) and engineering tools (DevOps, DevExpress).
- Criteria 3 (25 Pts): Architecture design depth (SOA, API development, modeling diagrams, data migration).
- Criteria 4 (25 Pts): Database administration (T-SQL, Oracle), middleware integrations, and communication protocols.
