This position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week. The regular schedule will primarily be on morning shifts 06:00 AM to 2:20 PM; however, based on business needs, the schedule may change and may include weekend and/or evening.
Compensation: $40–$48 per hour, plus overtime eligibility, company benefits, and RRSP matching.
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems on production equipment. This role supports manufacturing operations by performing preventive maintenance and promptly addressing equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose equipment issues and perform root-cause troubleshooting.
- Complete assigned work orders and participate in daily maintenance planning.
- Support equipment installations, adjustments, and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain related systems including air compressors, water pumps, vacuum systems, and basic building utilities.
- Document repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment checks.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform additional maintenance duties as required.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with manufacturing maintenance and production equipment repairs
- Extensive knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanics
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Red Seal Millwright is a plus
- Experience with plastics blow molding operations (injection blow molding, extrusion blow molding) is a plus
- Must have tools in order to perform all functions of the job/position
Working Conditions
- Industrial/manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and chemicals
- Requires standing, bending, lifting, and occasional heavy physical work
- Must have the availability to work days, afternoons or nights as we are a 24/7 facility.
