Residential Restoration Estimator | GTA - Vaughan - Brampton
We're currently recruiting on behalf of an established and growing General Contractor seeking an experienced Estimator to join their Property Damage & Restoration division. This is a long-term opportunity supporting residential insurance restoration projects, including fire, flood, wind and other property damage losses.

What you'll be doing:
- Respond to residential emergency insurance losses and assess damage
- Develop accurate scopes of work and estimates for new insurance claims
- Prepare, maintain and update detailed project documentation
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Coordinate with clients, insurers, subcontractors and internal teams
- Monitor project budgets, scheduling and progress
- Address client/insured questions and concerns throughout the restoration process
- Coordinate payment requirements and progress draws where applicable
- Ensure projects are properly documented and progressing efficiently
- Maintain strong health and safety standards
- Participate in a rotating after-hours emergency/on-call schedule
What we're looking for:
- 2-3 years of estimating experience, preferably within restoration, insurance claims or property damage
- Strong construction knowledge and an understanding of residential repair/restoration processes
- Experience with Xactimate is strongly preferred
- Experience with Docusketch and Encircle is an asset
- Familiarity with PSA is an asset
- IICRC certification(s) are preferred/considered an asset
- College or University education in Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology or a related discipline is preferred
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-service focused with the ability to deal professionally with homeowners, clients and other stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence and access to reliable personal transportation
Additional requirements:
- Ability to work Monday–Friday during standard daytime hours
- Willingness to participate in a rotating after-hours emergency restoration on-call schedule
- Successful criminal record check/basic security clearance
- Willingness to participate in ongoing industry, safety and technical training
