Reports To: Director of Commercial Operations
Key Traits:
- Proactive and comfortable with calling potential customers
- Able to handle multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities
- Disciplined with record keeping and data management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for phone outreach, lead qualification, and RFP preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and triage incoming leads from marketing campaigns, prospecting databases and inbound enquiries to identify genuine opportunities.
- Target: 85% of opportunities passed forward should be accepted as genuinely qualified
- Respond to paid inbound leads immediately. Pay-per-lead and pay-per-click enquiries answered within 15 minutes during business hours. Every inbound lead qualified or rejected within one business day.
- Run first qualification conversations. Establish the problem, the driver behind the timing, who is involved in the decision, and whether there is genuine fit.
- Schedule demonstrations and hand off with full context. Book demos with Sales Engineers and subject matter experts.
- Target: 80% of demos scheduled should be held.
- Conduct outbound prospecting. Targeted outreach into defined segments, building opportunities from cold contact through to qualified demonstration.
- Maintain accurate CRM records. Complete daily activities and next steps, document call outcomes and status updates in Pipedrive on every lead and opportunity worked.
- Support with RFP and RFI responses. Support with drafting of RFP and RFI responses, tracking submission deadlines, and sourcing technical content from Sales Engineers and Subject Matter Experts.
- Escalate appropriately. Bring in the Head of Sales or a Sales Engineer early on complex or strategic opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience (SaaS or quality management experience preferred).
- Demonstrated track record in high-volume phone outreach and inbound lead follow-up
- Proficiency with modern CRM systems, ideally Pipedrive, with genuine administrative discipline
- Able to qualify technically-minded buyers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for phone outreach, lead qualification, and RFP preparation.
